At AQPA, we offer people with aphasia and their loved ones essential support to promote their development and break their isolation.

Our general objectives
In accordance with its strategic action plan, AQPA carries out its mission according to several general objectives:
Collective and individual activities
Offer people with aphasia a program of collective and individual activities, allowing them to remain full citizens;
Inform, equip and support
Inform, equip and support people with aphasia and their loved ones to facilitate their access to useful resources;
sensitize
Raise society's awareness of the reality of people with aphasia and their loved ones, and promote their needs;
Promote innovative approaches
Promote innovative approaches offered to people with aphasia and their loved ones, and have them recognized in continuity with the care offered throughout the health and social services network.
AQPA, an independent community action organization
We therefore commit to respecting the fundamental criteria of community action organizations:
Be a non-profit organization;
Be rooted in the community;
Maintain an associative and democratic life;
Be free to determine its mission, approaches, practices and directions;
Have been formed at the initiative of the people of the community;
Pursue a social mission of its own and which promotes social transformation;
Demonstrate civic practices and broad approaches, focused on the overall issue addressed;
Be managed by a board of directors independent of the public network.

AQPA is an inclusive organization prioritizing the quality of welcome without any discrimination, where everyone sees their individuality recognized, their abilities used to fully realize their potential and their autonomy encouraged in a context of equity.
Democracy
AQPA is a democratic organization where governance is exercised rigorously while respecting the values, skills and experiences of each individual and in a friendly working atmosphere. It promotes the involvement of everyone in the organization's decision-making with a concern for transparency and openness.
