Throughout its history
From the beginnings of AQAP until 2013, the chairmanship of the board of directors has always been occupied by a person with aphasia. This fact indicates a great implication on behalf of the members and its exceptional character. Being an aphasic person yourself, accepting the daily challenges of communication and assuming the presidency of an association is a remarkable action. Here are the people with aphasia who chaired the AQAP until 2013:
- Claude Charrette (1982-1983)
- Lionel Muloin (1984-1985)
- Lucien Muchembled (1986)
- Fleure-Ange Panneton (1987-1989)
- Normand Bérubé (1989-1994)
- Jan-O Brosseau (1994-1995)
- Claude Roy (1995-1998)
- Jean-Marie Grenier (1998-2009)
- Pierre Lefebvre (2010-2013)
NON-APHASIC PRESIDENTS:
- Robert Robidoux (2013-2015)
- Marie-Claire Nadeau (2015-2020)
- Elisabeth Raynard (2020-2021)
- Suzanne Gagnon (2021)
- Suzanne Généreux (2021- current)
